Alexis Curtis, 48, a Black/African American woman, was found fatally wounded in the parking lot of the Shady Creek Apartments on Roosevelt Boulevard in Middletown, Ohio, late on June 29, 2025. Police and firefighters were called around 10:45 p.m.; responders found Curtis with a gunshot wound to the head, and she died at the scene. Records and memorial notices place her death in Middletown on that date, and obituary information confirms her age.
