Dennis Vietmeier, 75, a White/Caucasian male, died on July 6, 2025, after a shooting at a home on the 500 block of Cynthia Lane in Tallmadge, Ohio. Shortly after 11 a.m., a 911 call reported that a man had been shot and was not breathing. Responding officers and EMS found Dennis Vietmeier with a gunshot wound to the torso; he was transported to Summa Health Akron City Hospital and pronounced dead at 11:45 a.m.
Investigators identified the caller as the victim’s son, Ryan Vietmeier, 43.
