Robin Luke Caviness Jr., a 38-year-old male from Howland, OH, was arrested and charged with Bender's
murder. Caviness was indicted on charges of murder, three counts of felonious assault, and illegal possession of a firearm in a liquor-permit premises. The altercation reportedly involved racial slurs, and Caviness fired multiple shots into the Cadillac, resulting in Bender's death.
