In the blue early hours of July 2, 2025, Promise Quick, age 15, a female teenager, was found shot to death inside a home on Hooper Road in McLeansville, North Carolina, where she had been dog-sitting. Deputies with the Guilford County Sheriff's Office were called around 4:30 a.m. to 5014 Hooper Road after reports of gunfire; inside, they discovered the 15-year-old victim and pronounced her dead at the scene.
