Death by Force

In the early hours of July 7, 2025, Tyquan Jones-Alexander, age 14, male, was shot on Hutchins Avenue in Cincinnati’s Avondale neighborhood and taken by the Cincinnati Fire Department to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center, where he died of his injuries. Police were dispatched around 1:00 a.m. after reports of gunfire, and the Hamilton County coroner later identified Tyquan Jones-Alexander, age 14, male, as the decedent.
