Tanether Campbell, 39, a Black/African American woman, died in Charlotte after a midday shooting that shattered the quiet of a summer weekday. Shortly after noon on Wednesday, July 2, 2025, police and Medic were called to the 7300 block of Pebblestone Drive, an apartment community just off East Independence Boulevard.
