In the summer of 2025, the life of 42-year-old Larry Rose Holloway was cut short in Pawtucket, Rhode Island. On the evening of June 24th, Rose was fatally shot in front of the Kennedy Manor Apartment Complex located on Broad Street. This violent act marked the city's third homicide of the year.
Rose, born on September 5, 1982, was a son, brother, and friend.
Described as someone who had faced life's challenges with a belief in brighter days, his unexpected death left his family and community in mourning. He was a Black male. His story was one of striving to rise above difficulties, reconnect with loved ones, and share love.
Following the shooting, the Pawtucket police launched a murder investigation. Their efforts led to the arrest of 47-year-old Kenji Ingram of East Providence. Ingram was subsequently charged with first-degree murder, along with several weapons and drug violations.
During his arraignment in Providence District Court, further details of the case against Ingram were presented. He was ordered to be held without bail. At the hearing, he did not enter a plea to the charges he faces in connection with the death of Larry Rose.
