In the early morning hours of June 16, 2025, the quiet of a Redmond, Oregon neighborhood was broken by a discovery that would soon launch a homicide investigation. Anthony Spear, a 44-year-old White/Caucasian male, was found deceased in an unimproved area to the west of SW 6th Street and SW Umatilla Avenue. The initial 9-1-1 call, placed at approximately 1:46 a.m., led Redmond Police Department officers to the scene where they found Spear with gunshot wounds.
