On a Thursday evening, May 8, 2025, police responded to a call about a possible assault in Rochester, New York. In a wooded area off of Orchard Street, they made a grim discovery. The body of 36-year-old Richard Gollwitzer of Ogden, New York, was found on the north side of a building. It was apparent he had been the victim of violence, having sustained at least one gunshot wound to his upper body. He was pronounced deceased at the scene.
