Twenty-two-year-old Janaysia Lewis, a Black woman from Columbus, was shot on the morning of September 18, 2025, at the Sterling Court Apartments on the city's east side, near Krumm Park. Officers were dispatched around 9:24 a.m. to the 3200 block of Sterling Lane and found multiple victims with gunshot wounds; Janaysia Lewis, age 22, was taken to OhioHealth Grant Medical Center and pronounced dead at 10:05 a.m. Two additional victims were transported to separate hospitals with injuries that were ...Read More
