In the early morning hours of the Fourth of July, a domestic dispute in a Coram, New York, home ended in the death of 47-year-old Alex Carter. The male victim was fatally shot at his Townehouse Drive residence following a physical altercation with his girlfriend, Ashley Guimont. The incident, which occurred around 2:30 a.m., concluded with Guimont herself calling 911. Emergency services transported Carter to John T. Mather Memorial Hospital in Port Jefferson, where he was pronounced dead.
