Abede Fernandez, 42, a man from Flatbush, Brooklyn, was shot on the afternoon of July 14, 2025, on Lenox Avenue in Harlem and died soon after at NYC Health + Hospitals/Harlem. Police responded just before 5 p.m. to reports of gunfire in front of 235 Lenox Avenue, between West 121st and 122nd Streets, and found him with multiple wounds to his torso and back before he was rushed to the hospital and pronounced dead.
