Nathan McKinnies, 54, a male of Black/African American ethnicity, was found mortally wounded late the night of September 22, 2025, after police were dispatched to the 700 block of Clark Street in Chadbourn, North Carolina. Chadbourn’s mayor said officers arrived just before 11:30 p.m. in response to a 911 call reporting gunfire; two men were discovered with gunshot wounds, and Nathan McKinnies, 54, was pronounced dead at the scene.
