In the early morning hours of April 20, 2025, the life of 23-year-old Oscar A. Bermejo-Garcia was tragically cut short in a quiet residential neighborhood in southwest Albuquerque. Just after 2 a.m., police were called to a home on the 500 block of Dean Drive SW, near 98th Street and Tower, where they found Bermejo-Garcia inside, suffering from at least one gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene, leaving his family and community to grapple with the sudden and violent loss.
