On the night of May 26, 2025, a routine traffic stop in Bloomfield, New Mexico, turned into a tragic event that would ultimately claim the life of Hispanic male officer Timothy Ontiveros, age 32. At approximately 10:55 p.m., Ontiveros and a fellow officer pulled over a vehicle driven by 58-year-old Dennis Armenta.
