A 2 year old dies of multiple impacts to the head The tragic death of 2-year-old Chelsea Crane from Raymond, New Hampshire, remains an unsolved case since November 1993. On November 23, 1993, police were called to her home at 15 Regina Avenue, where they found Chelsea with a head injury. At the time, she had been under the care of Scott Mayo, her mother's boyfriend. Chelsea was taken to the hospital, treated, and released.
Five days later, on November 28, her mother, Sharon Crane, put her to bed, but when checking on her later, Chelsea was found unresponsive. She was rushed to the hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
An autopsy revealed that Chelsea had suffered multiple blunt force trauma impacts to her head, leading to her death. The medical examiner ruled her death a homicide. Despite this ruling, and after years of investigation, no one has been charged in connection with her death, leaving the case cold. Authorities are still seeking any information that could help resolve this case and bring justice to Chelsea's family.
This case continues to be one of the many cold cases in New Hampshire, with the hope that new information might one day come to light.7
