In the quiet community of Hernando, Mississippi, the life of Kasey Maria Rowley, a 28-year-old Black woman, was abruptly ended. On the evening of Thursday, May 15, 2025, concerned parties requested a welfare check at her home on Magnolia Ridge. Responding officers made a grim discovery in a back bedroom of the residence. Rowley had sustained gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene by medical personnel who were called to the home.
