Jermonte Marquis Barnes, 34, a male who was Black/African American, was shot and killed in the early hours of Sunday, May 18, 2025, outside the Hillside Club at Youngstown Plaza on Summit-Holmesville Road, just outside McComb in Pike County, Mississippi. According to the Pike County coroner, he died of multiple gunshot wounds after a gunman entered as the business was closing around 3:15 a.m. and opened fire.
