On the night of August 29, 2025, a violent sequence of events in Trenton, New Jersey, claimed the life of 41-year-old Andrew Damaine Coates, a Black male. Coates, a lifelong resident of the city, was driving when he was struck by gunfire, leading to a multi-vehicle crash that left several others injured. He was transported to Capital Health Regional Medical Center, where he died from his injuries hours later on August 30, 2025.
