In the quiet community of Thibodaux, Louisiana, a tragic event unfolded in the early morning hours of July 5, 2025, resulting in the deaths of two young men. Jordan Landry, a 22-year-old male from the nearby city of Houma, was at a residence in the 200 block of Colony Station when the incident occurred.
Inside the home, what began as an ordinary gathering took a horrifying turn. Investigators believe that a loaded firearm was accidentally discharged, striking and fatally wounding Landry.
The immediate aftermath of this tragic accident was compounded by a second loss of life.
Also present at the scene was 30-year-old Draven Henden. In the moments following the accidental shooting of Landry, it is believed that Henden took his own life. Both men were pronounced dead at the residence.
The investigation into the deaths of Jordan Landry and Draven Henden concluded that the initial shooting was accidental. As Henden, the only other individual directly involved, was also deceased, no arrests were made in connection with the incident. The case was classified as an accidental homicide followed by a suicide.
