In the early evening of a Saturday in Ypsilanti, Michigan, a burst of violence shattered the community's sense of peace. Dajon Ryans, a 25-year-old man, was fatally wounded by gunfire in an incident that occurred between 7:25 and 7:45 p.m. The shooting took place near the local McDonald's restaurant situated at the intersection of Ecorse Road and Towner Street.
