In the spring of 1979, a young Caucasian woman named Laurie Gay Hesselink, aged 21, was living on her own in Las Vegas, Nevada. Her life was cut tragically short on the evening of Friday, March 9th. At some point between 8:00 p.m. that night and 4:30 a.m. the following morning, an unknown individual or individuals gained entry into her apartment located at 148 Ida Street, Apartment 50.
