Death by Force

Randy Carl Campbell, 38, a Black male from Grand Rapids, was killed on the evening of August 10, 2025, after gunfire was reported around 7:10 p.m. near Logan Street SE and Diamond Avenue SE. Officers arrived to find him gravely wounded and began lifesaving efforts, but he died at the scene; the Kent County Medical Examiner ruled his death a homicide. His identity and age were released by the Grand Rapids Police Department the following day.
