In Port Huron, Michigan, a domestic dispute escalated into a tragedy, ending the life of 23-year-old Chase Hunter Hoyt. On the night of Wednesday, September 3, 2025, officers were dispatched to a residence on 10th Avenue following reports of a domestic disturbance. Upon arrival, they found Hoyt with a gunshot wound to his abdomen. He was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead shortly after.
