Late on September 3, 2025, Port Huron police were called to a domestic disturbance in the 1400 block of 10th Avenue. Officers found Chase Hunter Hoyt, 23, male, suffering from a gunshot wound to the abdomen. They performed life-saving measures before he was rushed to a hospital, where he died from his injuries.
