Rico Antwan Mitchell, a 34-year-old Black male from Los Angeles, was struck by gunfire late Friday night, May 23, 2025, in the Gramercy Park neighborhood and later died at a hospital. The county medical examiner identified him and ruled the death a homicide caused by a penetrating gunshot wound to the head. Formal pronouncement came that Friday, confirming the loss of the 34-year-old male whose killing was recorded under county case number 2025-08577.
