In the early evening of Monday, June 9, 2025, the life of Anildo Cardoso, a 41-year-old Black / African American male from Roxbury, Massachusetts, was tragically cut short. Just before 9 p.m., the sound of gunfire shattered the evening calm in the Dorchester neighborhood of Boston. Officers from the C-11 district were dispatched to the area of 11 Levant Street following a ShotSpotter activation. While on their way, they received an updated report of a person shot in front of 4 Levant Street.
