Major Kip Smith, 61, a Black/African American man, was shot and killed on August 31, 2025, in Baltimore. Police said officers were called to the 5000 block of Palmer Avenue in the Central Park Heights area, where they found the 61-year-old man suffering from gunshot wounds; he was pronounced dead soon after.
