On December 30, 2018, the body of 24-year-old Marcus Barber was discovered in a wooded area in the 1000 block of North Franklintown Road in Southwest Baltimore. He was found around 3:30 p.m., having been shot at least once. This incident marked the second homicide reported in Baltimore that day, with another man killed earlier in the morning in a separate incident.
