Yazmin Nunez, 44, a female of Hispanic/Latino ethnicity, was shot while driving in Boyle Heights in the early morning hours of May 28, 2025. Around 3:14–3:15 a.m., officers responded to reports of shots fired near Grande Vista Avenue and 8th Street and found her unconscious inside a car that had crashed into a light pole, suffering from at least one gunshot wound.
