Isaac Sotello, 20, was shot on the afternoon of May 29, 2025, during a double shooting in the unincorporated community of Goshen near the intersection of Wellman Avenue and Wolf, just outside Visalia. Deputies arrived to find two victims with gunshot wounds; Isaac Sotello, 20, a male, was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead, while the second victim survived.
The Tulare County Sheriff’s Office identified him publicly in the days that followed, anchoring a homicide investigation that began around 1 p.m. and quickly expanded beyond the initial crime scene.
Detectives soon named suspects and made their first arrests: Myka Yrigollen, 20, and a 17-year-old boy were taken into custody on allegations tied to the murder of Isaac Sotello, 20, male, and the attempted murder of the surviving victim. At the same time, investigators asked for help finding three 18-year-olds—Andrew Orosco, Francisco Madrigal, and Israel Murrieta—who were wanted for questioning in the case. In the following days, authorities reported that all three, along with a second 17-year-old boy, had been located and arrested, bringing the total to six arrests connected to the killing of Isaac Sotello, 20, male.
By June 10, 2025, the Sheriff’s Office said that the group of six—Yrigollen; Orosco; Madrigal; Murrieta; and two 17-year-olds—were in custody in connection with the shooting that claimed the life of Isaac Sotello, 20, male, and wounded another man. Authorities did not immediately release additional details about motive or the events that led to the gunfire, but the sequence of arrests signaled a broad investigation focused on multiple suspects believed to have been involved at the scene that day.
