On July 28, 2024, 22-year-old Angel Rudy Salazar was fatally shot outside Rookies Sports Bar and Grill on Main Street in downtown Visalia, California. The incident occurred around 1:30 a.m., when gunfire erupted, striking Salazar and two other individuals.
