Manissa Tranell Howard, 44, a Black/African American woman, was killed on September 14, 2025, inside an apartment at the Villaggio complex in Bossier City, Louisiana. Authorities said that during a tense barricade situation, Manissa Tranell Howard, 44, was shot by her husband, who then turned the gun on himself; she was pronounced dead at the scene and he later died at a hospital.
