On November 9, 1995, Andy Lou Jiles Sutton, 37, a White woman, was found slain inside her apartment in Bossier City, Louisiana. The scene was intimate and brutal: her body was discovered on her bed, and reports from the time describe her as having been attacked repeatedly with a knife, leaving little doubt that this was personal, close-quarters violence rather than a distant, opportunistic strike.
