In the pre-dawn hours of a Saturday in August, a chain of events began that would end in the death of 26-year-old Jamar Douglas. The incident took place near the Monterey community in Owen County, Kentucky. Responding to a call around 2:00 a.m., Kentucky State Police troopers discovered Douglas, a resident of Louisville, unconscious and suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
