Laron Duane Rosse, 59, a Black male from Fort Wayne, died on May 30, 2025. In the predawn hours, police were called to the 2600 block of Wells Street, where a shooting left him critically wounded; he was taken to a local hospital and pronounced dead. The Allen County Coroner later ruled the death a homicide caused by multiple gunshot wounds and identified Rosse as the county’s fifteenth homicide of the year.
