Black / African American, male. On July 18, 2025, Robert A. Trotter, age 62, was standing outside a residence late that morning in Chicago's Greater Grand Crossing neighborhood when a dark-colored Dodge SUV pulled up on the 7600 block of South Eberhart Avenue. Two gunmen stepped out and opened fire. He was struck multiple times and rushed to the University of Chicago Medical Center, where the 62-year-old man was pronounced dead.
