Julian Garcia, 27, a Hispanic/Latino man from Fresno, California, died on June 20, 2025, after being shot in the upper body during an overnight confrontation in a southwest Fresno parking lot. Officers were dispatched at 2:09 a.m. by a ShotSpotter alert reporting three rounds near South Plumas Street and East Lorena Avenue; they found Julian Garcia unresponsive and he was transported to Community Regional Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
