Orlando Lara, 50, a male from Banning, was found fatally shot late on the night of June 25, 2025, along the upper boundary of the Morongo Reservation, in the 47000 block of Morongo Road near Cottonwood Road. Responding deputies located Orlando Lara, 50, male, at the scene shortly before 11 p.m., and homicide investigators from the Riverside County Sheriff's Central Homicide Unit took over the case.
