Kevin Allen, 41, a Black man from Chicago, was shot and killed on August 4, 2025. He had been walking in Englewood along the 1100 block of West 56th Street just after 5:30 p.m. when someone opened fire, the attack sudden and close enough that a single round struck his cheek.
