Navell Morris, a 28-year-old Black / African American man from Chicago, was fatally shot late Sunday morning on August 17, 2025. He was standing outside in the Austin neighborhood, in the 4900 block of West Adams Street, when multiple armed assailants approached and opened fire around 11:40 a.m. First responders took Navell Morris, age 28, to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.
