In the final minutes before midnight on Sunday, August 24 rolling into Monday, August 25, 2025, Black/African American, D. King, age 25, stood with a 35-year-old woman on the 4800 block of West Superior Street in Chicago's Austin neighborhood when an argument with a man they knew erupted. The dispute turned suddenly violent: the other man drew a gun and opened fire. Naheem D.
