In the early morning hours of October 10, 2000, Essie Otten, a 57-year-old woman also known as Essie Reed, was at a bus stop on the corner of D Street and Paul Street in Las Vegas, Nevada. She was waiting for the bus that would take her to her job, a routine part of her daily life that was about to be tragically cut short. While she sat on the bus bench, she was murdered.
