In the early morning hours of August 14, 2025, the life of 22-year-old Jontavis D. Pearson Jr., a male resident of East Chicago, Indiana, was tragically cut short. Responding to reports of gunfire at approximately 7:00 AM, officers from the East Chicago Police Department arrived at an apartment building located at 3612 Superior Court.
