In the late hours of a Friday in East Chicago, Indiana, the life of 17-year-old Justin Charleston was tragically cut short. On March 14, 2025, the sharp report of eight gunshots pierced the night, prompting an alert from the city's ShotSpotter system at approximately 11:16 p.m. in the vicinity of the 3700 block of Dahlia Street.
