Anthony “Dopey” Martinez, 15, male, Hispanic/Latino, was shot and killed on the night of July 12, 2025, in Los Angeles’ West Adams neighborhood. According to police, he was with a group near Washington and Rimpau boulevards around 10:45 p.m. when two people walked up to them and a verbal dispute escalated; one of the suspects opened fire and both fled. He was struck and died at the scene, in front of a Chevron station, and the county medical examiner ruled the death a homicide.
