Asean Bunkley was 17, a Black male from Locust Grove, Georgia. In the predawn hours of July 29, 2025, gunfire ripped through a quiet subdivision along the 500 block of Howell Drive. Neighbors awoke to rapid bursts captured on home surveillance systems and later found vehicles and house exteriors scarred by bullets. Responding just after 3 a.m., Henry County police located Bunkley at or near a residence on the street and confirmed he had been fatally shot.
