On a summer evening in Kingsland, Georgia, the life of 23-year-old Jadeon Andredeshawn Wilson of Yulee, Florida, was cut short by gunfire. The male victim was at the Wellington Way Apartments on August 2, 2025, when the tranquil evening was shattered by the sound of gunshots. St. Marys Police Department officers were dispatched to the scene at 6:09 p.m., where they discovered two individuals had been shot.
Wilson was gravely wounded and rushed to the Southeast Georgia Health System, Camden Campus, but he ultimately succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead. A second victim, identified as Jhaineisa Keniya Glover of St. Marys, was also injured in the shooting. She was transported to UF Health Shands and was reported to be in stable condition with non-life-threatening injuries. The investigation into the double shooting began immediately, with assistance from the Kingsland Police Department and the Camden County Sheriff's Office.
In the aftermath of the shooting, authorities took Michael Anthony Massey of Kingsland into custody for questioning. However, his arrest was based on an unrelated warrant, and as of early August 2025, no charges had been filed against him or any other individual in connection with the shooting death of Jadeon Wilson. The investigation was reported to be ongoing.
Born on October 28, 2001, to Latiesha Wilson and James Wells III, Jadeon, also known as Jadean, was the eldest of his siblings and was remembered for his sense of responsibility toward his family. He was baptized on July 8, 2018, at Mt. Horeb Baptist Church. His life was celebrated by his mother, his son Jahzir James Nalton Wilson, and his brothers, Jachez Wilson, Timothy Lang, and Jacobi Green. He was preceded in death by his father. Funeral services were held in August 2025 at Mt. Horeb Missionary Baptist Church in Hilliard, Florida.
