Death by Force

Demontez Grier, a 33-year-old Black man, was shot to death on the evening of August 4, 2025, in the driveway of a home on the 7600 block of Connell Drive in Jonesboro, Georgia. Officers with the Clayton County Police Department were dispatched around 5:42–5:45 p.m., where they found Grier mortally wounded; he was pronounced dead at the scene.
