Joseph Flowers, a 35-year-old man from Stockton, was shot in the predawn hours of July 22, 2025, on the 2400 block of Oak Hill Street in the city’s Seaport District. Officers were dispatched around 3 a.m. after reports of a shooting and found him wounded; he was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The San Joaquin County Medical Examiner identified him the next day, fixing the time and place of the violence that cut his life short.
