Death by Force

On the evening of August 19, 2025, William Henry Thompson II, age 53, was found shot in the front yard of a home on New Zion Hill Road, just outside Dalton in Whitfield County, Georgia. Deputies with the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to the scene and confirmed the death of the 53-year-old man; investigators determined he had been killed by a gunshot wound.
